Until The Bones Music Blog

Post No. 1 – Reinvention

Breathing new life into this project with a new blog. If peeps still follow music blogs, I’ll be keeping a journal of my progress with UTB here.

Until The Bones is an independent music project, heavily influenced by 80’s hard rock, progressive metal (insert Symphony X here) and instrumental music.

A bit about me – I’m a Musician’s Institute guitar grad, internet developer/designer and fan of heavy music. Most recently, I’m living in Boston Ma., and figuring out ‘what’s next’ professionally.

While I was at M.I., I was fortunate to have the incredible Paul Gilbert as one of my weekly counselors/instructors. I think I wrote down every piece of advice Paul ever gave.  One in particular was ‘Stay passionate and always be ‘true to form’. I had this written on the inside of my M.I. binder and just rediscovered it as I was going through old course-work in my home studio.

That advice brings me back full circle.

I’ve been in and out of great music projects, had a great experience as a Washburn Guitars endorser/clinician, and have spent oodles of heads down time writing code for the internet. So kicking off this heavy music project, couldn’t of come to soon.

I’m stoked to be journaling and sharing progress on Until The Bones, and what better day to launch an indie music project than on CINCO DE MAYO!
