DIY Recording Studio #1 – Planning the Space

I’m cleaning out a corner of my home basement in order to build a DIY recording studio.  Between being on a budget, time at work, time with family, etc., this is the best option to avoid the high costs of booking studio time, time spent commuting, 24/7 access, and creating an environment I’ll feel comfortable creatively with. Who knows…it may even turn into a great place to give lessons and do some small production work on the side.

The first round of photos aren’t very interesting, but gives a look at the space I’ll be converting into a small isolation booth and a control room.
